I'm merely curious as t' when this development of needin' to advertise "supporting vendors" occurred; and if not recently, why this forum has only just now been made.

Ah, now I get it. To answer all your questions, supporting vendor subscriptions have always been available, but I guess haven't been taken advantage of on this forum I guess. What money they kick in goes to defray the costs of operating the forum, and for things like giveaways on occasion. We make sure only to sign up vendors that have something worthwhile to offer our members, and it is the exclusivity of being able to advertise here that makes it worthwhile to them, and keeps things relatively spam and ad free for you.
