Any solutions for "Wiiconnect24 is turned off" error?

It's turned on, so is the standby. When trying to access news or weather, get the message it's off.

when it says Wiiconnect24 off on you have to press "on" then press "confirm" did you do that?i forgot to press confirm before.

Have an inet connection, checks for updates just fine (although there are none).

There are 3 settings..............Wiiconnect 24 on/off . Standby on/off . Illumination Bright/Dim/Off.

Ill dig up the guide, but not sure what else its going to tell me.

yea my standby is on y is it supposed to b off

no you will not be able to get on weather or news without standy turned on, i have no idea why. internet surfing and shop work fine with it off.

Ill just leave it disabled. Can get this stuff off my pc or the tv.
No need to use the Wii for this
