It really doesn't matter unless you want to get messages when it's off.

So you have internet connected to your Wii? If it's not wireless, then you don't have it hooked up to your Wii.. Then, it's fine. If it is hooked up to your Wii, then yes.. turn your Wii off.

I think if turning it off were neccesary, my Wii would have told me in some message somewhere. Don't worry about it.

If you are concerened about power, dont be. The wii uses extremly low amounts of power when in connect 24. Just like the amount a clock uses.
