how to get online with xbox live

hi im getting an xbox 360 at the end of the month and i was just wondering how do i get online with it will it search for an acsess point or do i have to put my internet connection into the xbox 360

two methods:

wirelessly - to save hassle (trust me i've used a few) spend the extra money and get the official M$ wifi adaptor....soooo much easier to set up than a wireless gaming bridge / adaptor.
obviously, you'll also need a method of deploying wifi from your internet
connection...a wireless modem/router (if ADSL) or a wireles router (Cable)

wired/ethernet - connect the 360 to a router or (using ICS) to a pc
with a connectiojn to the internet.
