That game was too critically bashed for them to give it a sequel. I just think it's stupid how they never can give Luigi the game he really deserves. Whenever Luigi gets a game it's always some stupid off-shoot adventure that has nothing in common with the core Mario experience.
People who prefer Luigi to Mario (myself included) want the same Mario experience that we get with the other games, we just want the story to be centered around Luigi. We don't want an exploration game inside a mansion or yet another exploration game through time.
Every time they give Luigi game it's always something stupid and centered around finding Mario.
