most likely stupid but GH and rockband compatability

this has most likely already been discussed, but i cbf searching the forum

i have guitar hero world tour, with the guitars drums and mic, i was just wondering if these can be used to play rockband

and if they cant, why?

and if they can, anything bad about it??

im absolutely itching to get the beatles rockband, but im not going to buy another set of drums and **** just for the one game...

any help would be appreciated
