haha, you sound like its a tragedy in san diego, i live in a town with 30,000 people in the middle of no where, where our only sports team is a teenage hockey team and our highschool football team.

Well I just like to get away from here when I can, sure it isn't bad at all, but I get tired of the city and some of the BS that surrounds my college and everything.

I think we are somewhere in the 1.5 - 2.0 million people range with a constant influx of illegal immigrants. Even then with as many high schools that there are the city supports its teams, shoot they even let them play some of their high school games at Qualcomm, (Chargers Stadium, my college team plays there too, and they're thinking about moving the Chargers to Oceanside (north of where they are now) or Chula Vista (south of where they are now) which would create problems)

oh thats sounds sweet to play in chragers stadium, we kinda have the same thing, only when you make it to the ontario championship game tho, you get to play where the toronto blue jays play and the toronto argonauts (cfl) play, but we will proly win our region but get thrashed in the provincials

about time the chargers started playing like this, im was so happy to see them crush the living jesus out of the division rivals the broncos, it completely made my canadian thnksgiving weekend to see lt play like he was expected to play

I was also very happy to see the Chargers roll on the Broncos, the Broncos are a garbage team, and they show their true colors when they play teams with talent. Rivers didn't make any mistakes 2tds no picks, LT played well with 140 yards on offense, Gates played well as always with 7 catches, Jackson made a couple big receptions, and my player of the game, Turner, with 147 yards rushing, the back-up running back had 147 yards rushing. That is the team everyone expected to see.

I think I'm going to do a new thing this week, I'm going to give my guesses on who will win each game and then go from there Monday night after MNF.

My record for this week was, 10-4. Not too bad, no real surprises this weekend, except for the 5 interceptions by Romo, I feel bad for any Bills fan after that finish. Amazing kick though, 53 yards, twice for the win.

Chad Johnson isn't overrated. Look at his stats for the year. The most overrated player in the NFL is Matt Leinart. What a terrible QB.

T.O. is a better receiver than Chad Johnson IMO, but right now Randy Moss and Steve Smith are the two elite receivers in the NFL. Moss + Brady = scary and Smith + Anyone = dangerous.

Also Jacksonville doesn't get any respect because they don't have anyone worth noting. They are for the most part without a big name, and the only publicity they got was when they released Leftwich in favor of Garrard. They're a mediocre team (sorry, just stating it how I see it) and the only reason I picked the Chiefs to beat them was because I looked at previous games defensive stats and they had an average of over 100 yards rushing allowed, but I didn't do any other research which was my bad.

(First off I love talking football so no one PLEASE be offended by what I say...I'm a huge Jags fan so I stick up for them as much as possible lol....im a friendly dude in what i hope is a friendly place that said....)

I wasn't aware a mediocre team could shut out the reigning super bowl champs on MNF for the first time in history. I agree we were mediocre in the past because we played down to our opposition. If we didn't let Houston spank us year after year we would have made the playoffs 3 out of the last 4 years. We even went up to Indianapolis last year and ran 375 yards on them in their house. Mediocre teams don't do that....Good teams that play down to lesser opponents do.

P.S. - I also didn't know being mediocre included these facts i'm producing for ya:

• The Jaguars are the only team in the NFL to hold their opponents to 14 points or less in every game this season.
• 1st in opponents starting field position (25.3) and tied for 1st for fewest giveaways (3).
• 7th in turnover differential (+3).
• 4th in average time of possession (33:11).
• 4th in opponent plays of 10-plus yards (43).
• The Jaguars are one of eight teams to not allow a score on the opponent’s first possession.

There's more about how our defense is 3rd best in the leauge and how David Garrard is one of only two QBs that hasn't thrown a single interception this year (oh and he's 4th overall among QBs) and also about how we give up the lowest point total so far this year at 10.7 opponents PPG....I could go on but i've provided enough to counter your "mediocre" statement already.

I can't wait to come home after work tomorrow and see what everyone has to say.

The Dallas vs. New England game should be pretty interesting this week!

I agree those stats are representative of a good team, but I just don't feel that they are a great team, I don't really have an in between when I judge teams, I give teams either a terrible/mediocre/great dubbing depending on how I feel about their play, the Jags are not great, but they are good. They just don't have any big name/play guy that strikes fear into defenses or vice versa, and in my mind that is a requirement of great teams. (That is just my opinion on the matter) Also they are number 6 on ESPN's power rankings, which is pretty dang good. Chargers moved up to 12th after their performance.

Just to be fair, I am a Chargers fan, and I love the team, but personally I thought they were terrible the first four games of the season, and only this past weekend did they show what I expected them to play like. Right now I would give the edge to the Jags if they were to play each other, but if LT is right and this is the team we will see for the rest of the season, all I can say is look out. We got the Raiders this week with a newly revived offense starring Culpepper, but if we play anything like this past weekend, it could be another 30+ points win for us and get us going in the right direction.

Also, can you believe the Raiders have the AFC West lead right now, because they had a bye and are at 2-2 while everyone else is 2-3? Simply ridiculous.

I agree that the Cowboys/Patriots game should be interesting, but if Romo plays half as bad as he did against the Bills, they will be steamrolled. 6 turnovers and they win on a clutch 53 yarder to the Bills? I think I said it before, but I feel bad for Bills' fans. If Brady/Moss get going I personally think it'll be lights out for the Cowboys.

I feel sorry for Bills fans too. Tha's the kind of loss that hurts the most. I agree we don't have anyone on offense that is a big name player but on defense we have John Henderson and Marcus Stroud...Both of them make the pro-bowl yearly. And we just drafted Reggie Nelson so hopefully he produces like he did at Florida. But I agree we need more big name guys for our offense. Who knows....if Garrard can keep playing at this level he might emerge as a big name player. I mean this is the first time he's been givin the starting job all to himself from the beginning of a season so we'll see. AND (lol) we have Fred Taylor is the leading active rusher for most yards in a career, and he only needs 280 more rushing yeards to eclipse 10,000 yards rushing in a career. Something's that's only been done 21 times before in leauge history going back to the old AFL/NFL days. He's just really underrated around the leauge for some reason. I'm sure LT will surpass 10,000 but he's still a young guy. Freddy T is gettin old so this could possibly be his last year. So who do we have to step up behind him? Maurice Jones-Drew. Last year he led rookies with TDs and in total yards. I think if he can step up and play like he di last year and avoid the "sophmore slump", then we'll be a great team in no time.

If we beat Houston this Sunday, then beat Indy on MNF, then will you say we're great??

I agree there are some playmakers on defense, and with Garrard getting the starting job, he will have a chance to prove himself this year, I mean he's a quality qb, just not a stand out yet. I think the reason Fred Taylor has "lost" respect over the past few years is because of his injuries, I'm with you on "Fragile Fred" playing his last season this year, but who knows. Jones-Drew was supposed to be gangbusters out of the gate, but he started out real slow this year from what I've seen, though he did turn it around a bit this last game.

Haha, beat Houston, no, beat Indy and I will definitely give them a lot more credit. At the end of the season after Jones-Drew and Garrard have had their chances to prove themselves I'll revise my opinions of all the teams, but I'm sure they'll be one of the great teams here soon with all the talent on that team and even more developing.

Well I don't see winning the AFC West as a problem it would just be getting past the Pats, Colts, Jags, Steelers, and my other front runner for the wild card, the Titans, despite a shaky game last week. Hopefully by the end of the season they'll be consistent and Rivers will continue to play well.
