No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle European Release Confirmed-1.052010-02-11 07:55:31Maura S

Rising Star Games has confirmed today that No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle will finally be released in European regions at the end of April. In the blood-spattered sequel, Travis now finds himself the 51st ranked assassin, way down at the bottom of the UAA (United Assassin’s Association) league table. That’s just not good enough, is it?! There’s only one thing for it, he’ll have to fight his way back to the top spot, and at the same time avenge the murder of his best friend.

Developer Suda 51 has said that No More Heroes 2 is the game* he’s always wanted to make, with a smart storyline, refined combat (using two beam katanas) and buckets and buckets of blood. Buckets of it!* This is what Martin Defries, managing director, Rising Star Games, had to say about No More Heroes 1 & 2:

“The first No More Heroes game fast built a reputation as a benchmark in the Wii’s capabilities, and was brave and bold enough to stand out from the crowd as an antidote to the glut of party games on the market for the console. It was one of the few games on the Wii that truly deserved the undivided attention of gamers across all formats and No More Heroes 2 promises to take this to the next level.”

No More Heroes 1 & 2 have both had amazing reviews and scores in the US (where NMH2 has already been out for several months) and the UK, with GamesRadar giving NMH2 9/10, GameSpy 5/5 and 1UP A-, so it’s great for European fans that NMH2 has finally got a release month, if not yet a confirmed date!
