Buy a new one? thats such a waste.
How many wires are there the schematics I've seen theres just 2: +6V and GND. are they colour coated? They're diodes so if you hook it up backwards as long as its under a couple minute theres no chance of srewing it up. Try hooking it up one way, if it don't work try the other. Problem solved.
