Story mode question

On the map screen there are ! which are new missions and another icon that looks like a crown that flashes multi colored. What is this crown?

A crown means you've cleared the stage completely, ie. gotton all the boxes with ! in it and gotten all the secret door in that stage. If you want to get 100% in SSE I'm guessing you gotta get all crowns :3
