Trouble controlling Tabletop Tennis

I'm having immense trouble controlling the backhand/forehand motion in tabletop tennis. I have been able to make 124 points in the return challenge and made it all backhand. However, of late, my ability to control the switch has dropped. I've tried all four of our controllers, and changed the batteries for new ones in two of them. I've recalibrated multiple times, but nothing changes. I can hold the wii-mote in the backhand position, and the character will hold in the forehand position. If I need to try to swap really quick on a return, the character will make a premature swing and hit the ball off to one side. What am I doing wrong? Is the wii-mite supposed to be held with the buttons facing the ceiling, or facing my left (I'm right handed)? Help.

you are doing NOTHING wrong. nintendo is aware of problems in that game and you should just accept that the mini-game is flawed.

i have the same prob, i think nintedo is just trying to do that so it can be harder.
