Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and Alice Cooper are my all time favs.
I absolutely hate rap, hip-hop, and everything of the sorts. Country is something I do not listen to, but I atleast respect the talent in it.
Right off I'm sure I sound like some metal head who only listens to Slayer, but it's not true.
I mainly listen to rock.. hardcore, deathcore, grindcore, porn gore, and heavy metal, punk, 70's rock, and 90's rock - artists/bands like Billy Joel, Bob Seger, Aerosmith, CCR, Steve Miller Band, Lou Reed, Joe Cocker, Guns N Roses, Skidrow, Scorpions, Whitesnake, Cinderella, Def Leppard, Black Flag, Hatebreed, Madball, Terror, Agnostic Front, 88 Fingers Louie, Billy Club Sandwich, Gorilla Biscuits, Sworn Enemy, Quicksilver, Hopesfall, Everybody Gets Hurt, Sworn Enemy, Acacia Strain, Full Blown Chaos, Through The Eyes of the Dead, Still Remains, Unearth, Bleeding Through, Lamb of God, Strapping Young Lad, and tons of other rock bands along the same lines as those listed above, but none of that Puddle Of Mudd, Nickleback, Seether crap or whiney ass "post-hard emo-core hybrid" bullshit like Hawthorne Heights and most of those other bands whose name consists of sentence fragments.
I was raised with rock and I will live with rock as my favorite music, but I respect other genres. Dude, Beethoven was the ****, listen to "Moonlight Sonata" and tell me you don't want to run out and buy a piano. Michael Giacchino is my favorite new-age composer, I definitely recommend you check out his work, some of you already have and didn't realize it. He has composed music for the following video games:
The Lost World: Jurassic Park
Secret Weapons Over Normandy
Call of Duty
Call of Duty: Finest Hour
The Incredibles: Rise of the Underminer
Black
Alias
Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction
Medal of Honor
Medal of Honor: Underground
Medal of Honor: Allied Assault
and Medal of Honor: Frontline is by far my favorite pieces from him.
Ruggero Leoncavallo's Pagliacci is the best Opera ever, if you ever get a chance to see this, do it!
As usual, I've rambled on and on about stuff nobody cares about, despite the rambles being on topic to the thread subject.
