Wii VC without Internet Connection

Is there anyway for me to pay for wii VC games and put them onto my WII (either via USB Flash Stick, or burn them to cd/dvd or something)? Basically i am trying to figure out if I can play WII VC games w/ out having an internet connection on my wii? Can I buy and download to my pc and transfer somehow?

no... the only way i can think of is if you go to a friends house that has wifi, set up your wii, download the games, then go back home... that should work

My Stepson brings his Wii over when he wants to buy VC games and he downloads them using my wireless connection.
