Wii wont read my discs

im having trouble with my wii and it wont read any of my game discs. it keeps coming up with wii is not able to read discs and sometimes an error screen comes up telling me to eject the disc. this has happened before and i called nintendo and they said to clean the discs and then they worked. ive tried everything i can to get them to work but nothing is working.

anyone know what else i could try?

Disc is brand new (about a week old) with no scratches. No strange sounds from the wii and yes, its put in the Wii correctly. I cleaned the disc with some DVD cleaner and its now working but i will keep an eye on it. Hasn't happened with any other wii game to date. I am hoping the wii isn't broken and needs to be returned. Our house got burgled over the Christmas holidays and they took the Wii box (with receipt for the system stored inside it) but stupidly they left the actually Wii still connected to the tv ut:.
