I feel bad for the guys family.

Also, how could he get into the city area and crash into a building after 9/11?

Apparently Cory Lidel and his pilot-insructor both died. I believe 16 people were injured in the building. What a shame...

Well, he starts off with a "moment of silence" before every class, and he mentions somebody to "keep in mind." I think he'll purposely not say that this happened.
