Anyone else think the movie Silent Hill had a better plot?

I just think Alessa being hated by the community was more emotionally deep than her Mother burning her in their basement to ressurect some beast. One reason I like the movie better is you feel worse for her, since she's hated by EVERYONE and not just being used by her Mother... as quoted by Dahlia "Into the fire, she swallowed their hate". Also, Alessa's lust for revenge made things interesting.

i have to say this is one of my fav movies and it is very underated. the plot couldnt be any better. i just hope for more action if they make a second 1
