Channels show in data management but not Wii main menu

I am a newbie here. I am trying to ressurect my son's old Wii for my granddaughter to use. Wii Sports and a number of other games show up on the data management menu as being in internal memory, but not in the Wii Main Menu. How do I get these games to play? It says 1973 blocks are available.

Everything found in Data Management would be the save files for a game previously played. If a game's save data doesn't have a channel in the main menu, then that means you'll need the corresponding disc to play the game.

Games will only have a channel for themselves and be playable without a disc if the game was purchased online and obtained via downloading.
