Stickmen Studios from New Zealand announced today that it’s launching its latest original title, Doc Clock: The Toasted Sandwich of Time for download via WiiWare on Monday January 17th for 1000 Wii Points. The Doc’s madcap world is one of ingenious inventions, a contemptuous robot backpack called Sack, and the Doc’s beloved cat called Franklin, who he, and you, must save from being turned into a potted “catcus”! Madly misguided techno-phobic hippie robots are also involved, apparently, which is always a bonus!

In the game you get to use your imagination and skill as you build clever contraptions to take you through the robot-ravaged environments, including lava-bubbling rivers, icicle-toothed pits and urban wastelands. One of the cool features of the game is the fact that the player can invent almost anything they like using the objects that they scavenge. You can also instantly rewind time to undo any mistakes that you might make using Doc Clock’s Time Slider. And if you’re someone who likes collecting things, you’ll also be able to unlock achievements such as Headhunter and Rocketman. Here’s Wil McLellan, CEO of Stickmen Studios, talking about the game:

“Doc Clock: The Toasted Sandwich of Time is a creative quest for all ages, suitable for anyone who enjoys compelling problem-solving challenges and comical encounters.”

He forgot to mention that the game’s title also makes you crave toasted sandwiches, or is that just me?
