I don't have that exact product, but I do have a wired connection on my Wii using a similar device. It was easy to install, you just plug it into the USB on the back of the Wii and connect a network cable (some network configuration is required unless you have a router with DHCP). Wired connections help eliminate network latency on your local network, unfortunately it will not prevent all cases of lag because other players still use wireless connections and also because of the distance between players.
