According to Eurogamer, a Disney Newsletter has let slip that there will be a Disney Epic Mickey 2 after all, and it will be released at the end of 2012. The game was mentioned in a newsletter from Disney that was spotted by Disney news site Stitch Kingdom. The game was obviously not supposed to have been mentioned in the newsletter, as it has not even been officially announced yet, and once Stitch Kingdom had reported the news it was swiftly edited so that mention of the game was removed! Prior to the edit though, Eurogamer says that the newsletter revealed some important details about the forthcoming game, including the fact that it will now be on Xbox 360 and PS3 as well as Wii. The storyline revolves around Mickey once again being pulled back into a world populated by forgotten Disney characters, as with the first game. This time around, aside from playing as Mickey in single-player mode, players can also choose to be either Mickey or Oswald the Lucky Rabbit in two-player co-op mode. Playing as Mickey, you’ll get to use magic paint and paint thinner, while playing as Oswald you’ll be able to fly like a helicopter and use electricity to either fight or friend your enemies. Disney has so far made no comment on the matter, but it’s probably safe to say that you can expect to be playing Epic Mickey 2 on your Wii by the end of the year!

Never got around to playing the first one, but I've always been curious 'bout it. A good Disney game certainly is a rarity, after all. Can't say I'd complain if they kill all the shovelware and start making serious games like Epic Mickey.
