Well who would have thought it? 505 Games has today announced that they have selected developer Zoë Mode to work on a Nintendo Wii game based on the classic movie, Grease! Zoë Mode already has a good track record in the music games field, being responsible for the Singstar series. There’s not much more information available about the game at the moment, but this is what Ed Daly, General Manager of Zoë Mode, had to say about the forthcoming game:
“Grease is an iconic brand that has spanned generations and we are thrilled to be charged with the responsibility of bringing the Grease legacy to a new medium.”
And this is what Ian Howe, Managing Director, 505 Games, had to say about Zoë Mode:
“For this project we knew we had to employ developers of a certain calibre in order to really bring the Grease magic to the world of video games. In Zoë Mode and Big Head Games (who are making the Nintendo DS version), we feel we have found the talent required to give this film the game it deserves.”
No release date or screenshots are available yet, but we’ll let you know when they are.
