How do i get an american nintendo wii game to work in the uk???

I bought a wii game whilst across in america and for my sister's nintendo wii and the system is not reading the disc,does anybody know how to convert it or is it just a lost cause??? all comments/ideas greatly appreciated.HOLLER!

Lost cause I'm afraid. Definately won't work. The only thing from the US that works is the remotes and nunchuks.

smactastic. what i advise is if you can. get an american Wii. that way you can play all the american games. unless all your games are from the uk

wait for firmware mods, then open region will be open and you can play a game from where ever the heck it came from.
