is there a new line of colored wiis coming?

hey im new here and i still don't have a wii but i've been told andi've read that a new line of colored wiis are coming and they are going to be green blak and red.
can someone please verify if this is true?
also i'd like to know if it is true that they will be able to play dvd's?
and finally will rock band be available for the wii?
so please write back, i really need to know if i should get a wii now or wait for the supposedly new ones.

I've haven't heard anything about anything you just said. Well, I've heard about Rock Band, but it hasn't been officially announced, or... has it?

On Rock Band's website, it shows the logos of sponsors and compatible systems, there isn't a Wii or Nintendo logo there, so I'm guessing it's just PS3 and Xbox360.

that picture of all the colored wiis thats everywhere on the internet is from before the wii was even released. there are no plans that have been announced to market them. if they were going to have them for the holiday season they wouldve been released this weekend because its the biggest shopping weekend of the season.

as for rock band, i think what you read was just them saying they would be interested in developing for the wii at some point.
