cursor jumps all over the place tried resetting it no different faulty remote ?

you might be either to close or to far from ur sensor bar.

The Wii sensor bar can be positioned for being either on top or below your TV; do you have it's settings correct? If you don't know, explore 'round the setting menus by clicking the wrench on the Wii's main menu (where you can see all the channels).

Is there any strong light sources around the sensor bar?

Are the batteries almost dead? You can check this by how many lights are lit up on the bottom of the Wii remote; four is full, one is almost fully drained.

Is the sensor bar fully plugged in?

Is there glass or anything similar that is near the sensor bar?
