My Nintendo Wi-Fi USB connector wont pick up my Wii

I installed it properally and I restarted my computer and I'v tried to unstall and reinstall the oftwear and nothing worked I kepp getting
Error Code:51040
unble to find the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB connector. Pleae check the Nintendo Wi-Fi to ensure that it is functioning. Pleas visit support.nintendo.com for more information

it tells me that every time and I tried the website and It dosnt work for crap If anyone else got this problem and fixed I be greatfull if you can help me with my problem

Please search before you post, however i will help you, This problem often occurs with the wifi connector, many other people have had this problem. I recommend calling nintendo or vist their website. Remember to use the search box!

its obviously your firewall....turn it down....or search on the net to make the correct set-up to let pass the wii...i had the same problem...six month ago...but i dont remember what i did...:sick:

Or it could be your internet provider. Those such as AOL don't work.
