New Wii set up! help!

just got kids the Wii for x-mas. Am setting it up and got to syncing remotes and all worked with first one but when tried to sync second one both stopped working. Have "troubleshooted' and reset and tried re-syncing but nothing seems to be working. Blue lights aren't showing now on either. Maybe I am just missing something obvious?

okay off topic you could of vmed him just sync one & then turn it of by batteries & then sync the next one so on & so on then put the batteries & press a
