If you’re looking for a fun way for your family to keep fit and active, then 2K Play and Nickelodeon just might have the answer for you, with the launch of Nickelodeon Fit exclusively for the Wii. Designed with the aim of providing kids with a fun way of kick-starting a healthy and active lifestyle alongside their favourite Nickelodeon characters, Nickelodeon Fit features 30 games developed in collaboration with physical education and exercise science expert Dr. Jacqueline Goodway, PhD. Nickelodeon Fit includes games that target cardiovascular activity, core muscles, upper and lower body strength, balance, motor skill development and coordination. Activities use either the Wii Remote or the Wii Balance Board, and include trampolining with Dora, skateboarding with Diego, running with Kai-lan, jumping rope with The Backyardigans and joining in a relay race with all of the game’s characters. Fans will recognise the familiar voice actors from many popular Nickelodeon shows, who are all present on the soundtrack.

With its Fitness Stats tracking feature, Nickelodeon Fit also encourages parents to get involved with their children’s exercise routine. They can make sure that their child gets a proper workout by monitoring total exercise time and intensity on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. The game also offers helpful fitness icons at the beginning of each exercise that indicate if the activity is vigorous, moderate or light and which fitness categories are being targeted. Parents can also create custom workouts based on their child’s needs and interests, such as more cardio or stretching games.

Nickelodeon Fit is available in stores now.
