yo this is my desktop 
made it myself
im actually on vista except i changed appearance to "classic" to suit my retro pacman theme.
i also changed the icons from the default ones to make it look more oldschool. and made the background colour of the icons black to blend into the backround.

They do have a load of classic game related icons on the old Atari greatest hits disc on PC
I used to have the full Yars Revenge set up (with sounds)
RETRO GOODNESS!!
Till I changed it to some of the voices from Portal
Had to get rid of it as those turrets voices creped me out
I might have to find that disc again to put the sounds on that mame cab im working on

Not worth splashing out on if your on XP, but if your on Vista GET IT!

Definitely upgrade if you're on Vista, and if you can afford to on XP, do so. It's completely flawless (for me), all my games and programs run perfectly on it. Not to mention the speed boost over Vista. Do it!

Yep, and if not, I just do XP compatibility mode (not the Windows 7 XP mode), and they work fine. I've ran the original Call of Duty's on here, along with Battlefield 1942. They ran fine.
On Windows 7 My neapthew has had trouble with his, but hes a firggen numpty when it comes to computers.
He has a habbit of thinking that he can hack into peoples bank accounts with the help of a web site when in fact its his computer that gets hacked
