question about the wii code

ok i noticed my wii Online code is a lower number then alot of people on this site does it work on regions?? i just bought mine like 3 weeks ago.. i know this might be a dumb question but im just wondering..

Everyone's code has 16 digits. So does yours, right?

well yea u should beable to see it on the left hand side under my avatar it starts with a 1 and i havent seen anyone else with a 1 i see alote starting with 5 and 8... its a dumb question but i was wondering how this number works.

Yeah it has to be random, mine starts with 0.

I'm sure it is random and/or has to do with shipments. A lot of PC manufactures will change their serial number set to something different after a major recall or enhancement. I got my Wii in the 3rd shipment so i wager me and all the other people who purchase their wii's are target start with 8 or somewhat.
