Rock Band 3 Wireless Pro Drums: can't connect to the console

Hi,

I'm a newbie here and ive a problem,well i should say my daughter has a problem.

I bought her Rock Band 3 Wireless Pro Drums kit but she can't get them to connect to the console.She has done everything as per instructions like put batteries in,insert the wireless dongle and pressed the sync on both the drum kit and console.

Please help as she has had them since xmas
