Rooms: The Main Building Screenshots-1.052009-12-22 18:18:52Maura S

Whilst Rooms: The Main Building is possibly not the snappiest or most thrilling video game name that you’ve ever heard, could it be that just like Clark Kent or Peter Parker, behind that dull, slightly boring exterior lies something much more interesting? Well, the good folks at Hudson Entertainment are probably hoping so, in fact they’re counting on it. So what’s it all about then, this ‘Rooms’ business?

Well, the gameplay has apparently been designed specifically for the Wii Remote. In the game, an unusual invitation arrives on your doorstep, sending you to an alternate world where you must use extraordinary items and devices to navigate through a variety of rooms and buildings. In order to enter the next room, you have to shift rooms around as if they were parts of a slide puzzle.

In each room players must use intellect, strategy and various objects to their advantage. The game features a guide called Mr. Book, who offers his advice on how to move rooms and use certain tricks to help you solve over 100 room puzzles.

“With the diverse gameplay offered in the unique title, Rooms: The Main Building is the start of another new category for Hudson,” said Mike Pepe, director of marketing, Hudson Entertainment. “As a new type of game, Rooms: The Main Building will transport players of all ages to a beautifully designed world filled with adventure and mystery.”

Well, when you put it like that, it does sound pretty interesting, especially if you like puzzle games. Look for Rooms: The Main Building sometime in 2010.
