So many people banned?

I wasn't the Mod doing the banning in this case, but I believe the user was repeatedly warned.

Kinda miss beef
To my knowledge ibeef's ban has lapsed.

New members usually don't know all the rules...

I'm just saying it is a good idea to let some things slip when it comes to new or returning members if you wish for them to return. This is a pretty inactive forum and we should try and hold on to our regulars and potential regulars. It's not like this is gamefaqs or anything, you can't say that this forum is hard to control. I really don't want to see this forum die.
I think we all appreciate this. I don't think we're to heavy handed on the ban hammer.

What about the time I was banned without warning?

Why was Elopez banned?

Elopez was originally warned and then banned for replying to spam and posting spam. I gave him a two day ban and an hour before his ban was up he created a second account and began to post pornographic images in the lounge.

(yeah I know posting porn is basically asking for a ban... but dupe accounts? boo hoo. just ban the dupe.)

If a user creates a dupe account to post while he or she is banned it defeats the purpose of giving that user a ban in the first place. If members want to create dupe accounts while they are banned they should expect to see their ban lengthened.

Thanks, he's been dealt with. If you see anything like that in the future just use the reported post function.

Replying to spam is bad because it fuels the spammer, if no one is posting a reply more often than not the spammer will tire out. Just report the user and a moderator will come and sort it out, not only do notifications come here but they go to our email inbox.

Besides if we see a name like "Forumsux" or "FARTfart" we kind of get the sense its a spammer. If we see that in the latest posts we go there and check it out but if we see a member we know reply to it we think they're just discussing stuff in a thread.

Simply put, replying to spammers makes situations worse and should just be avoided.

Only the site administrator has the option at the moment to ban users I.P.
