Wii Console turns itself on

I am new here and this is my first time posting. Today I connected the Wii to the Internet and all went well. After playing with it for a while I turned the Console off and noticed that the light was now a very light Orange instead of the red color it had been. Later it turned itself on. I had to turn it off twice. Why would the light have changed color when the Console is off and why would it turn itself on? Thank you for your help

when u connect 2 the internet the light on the wii [when turned off] will be yellow which means standby. That means you can get updates and messages while the wii is turned off!! SO THE YELLOW LIGHT IS GOOD, U DON'T WANT THE RED LIGHT. message me if you have any more questions!!

Thats kinda scary. thats ok though. I thought t was on too when I connected mine. I finally leanred it wasnt on.
