Wii online is free??

I just want to make sure. The actual internet connection, the online shop channel for the wii, it's free? The only thing you actually have to pay for are the wii points?

The online things you have to pay for are the things you buy from the shop, and that's with wii points.

You have to have a broadband internet connection. But no, you don't have to pay Nintendo any subscription fee or anything to get online.

You don't necessarily have to have broadband. . .you can use internet connection sharing with a dial-up. . .but ya, you should proably have broadband.

You get an IP address, DHCP is a protocol that assigns one. When using dial-up it is nearly always dynamic. Broadband can be either dynamic or static depending on your ISP.

But still, you should get broadband since you can get it now for less than the price of some dial-up services.

Rule of thumb: if they don't have any billing information on you, they can't charge you. If you havn't given a credit card number, go ahead and give it a shot.
