Warner Bros. Interactive and DC Entertainment announced today that they will be releasing a new fighting game for all major consoles, including the Wii U, in 2013. Injustice: Gods Among us, is a bold new fighting franchise, which introduces a deep, original story featuring a large cast of favourite DC Comics icons including Batman, Harley Quinn, Solomon Grundy, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman and many more. The game is set in a world where the lines between good and evil are blurred, and where players get to experience heroes and villains engaged in epic battles on a massive scale.

This just might be Mortal Kombat vs. DC, except without the suck. I wasn't a kid raised on comic books, but somethin' tells me a fighting game like this would be in high demand among such fans. Hopefully they make a good game.

Not that NetherRealm Studios has lived up to it's Midway roots yet...
