Wireless Q - 'b' 'g' or 'b/g mixed'?

Heard theres problems with having the router in 'g only' mode, problems with it in 'b/g' mode and its slow on 'b only' mode.

Which should I use?


Also I changed my wireless channel to 1 in advance because I heard other ppl needed to.

Is it essential?
