With fitness and dance Wii games selling by the bucketload at the moment, it’s no surprise at all that Majesco is today celebrating more than 500,000 copies sold of Zumba Fitness on the Wii in under two months, combining as it does both fitness and dance.

In the game, players get to learn and perfect nine different dance styles: Reggaeton, Merengue, Salsa, Cumbia, Hip-Hop, Mambo, Rumba, Flamenco and Calypso, to a musical backdrop of 30 infectious tracks and routines, some of which are exclusive to the game, which also comes with a Zumba Fitness Belt that tracks players’ hip movements as they dance. Zumba program creator Beto (pictured) and celebrity instructors Gina Grant and Tanya Beardsley are all featured prominently, so you can tell that this is an authentic Zumba product.

Zumba Fitness has been carefully designed to be accessible to all, whatever their skill level, featuring Learn the Steps training for novices, as well as Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced routines across five dynamic venues. As you hit each move in rhythm with your on-screen Zumba instructor, the stage transforms into a high-voltage party atmosphere with special effects and additional on-stage dancers.

Zumba is a very sociable activity, so developer Pipeworks Software has ensured that the game also represents the social aspect of the Zumba craze, enabling you to hold your own Fitness-Party event at home with up to three other players.

You can pick up Zumba Fitness for Wii now for $39.99, and join the Facebook community at www.Facebook.com/ZumbaFitnessGame to find out more.
