yeah, neither are necessary. if you are going to get one, no matter what, i'd get the stand cuz it look prettier.

if your room doesn't have any sort of air conditioning or live in an area where temperatures get high, then i suggest getting either one.

Get a sweet stand with a pimpin LED.

Get a stand, because it's more stylish.
I one I use has blue LEDs, fan, and even a carriage for two remotes and nunchuks. Picked it up off of http://www.emvee.ca for $20-something shipped, don't remember. Pretty good price. Beats buying off eBay

Unless you leave Wiiconnect 24 on all the time, the Wii barely even heats up a percentage during hours of gameplay.

Get the Fan Stand. Works good. Stand is useful, especially for me since I lost the stand you got for free. The fan sopposably works good to cool your wii down, and the light effect is cool.
