Try The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, it's fairly humorous, but go with the manga, not the anime. Sadly I think that only two mangas have been translated to English so far.

Manga... Neon Genesis Evangelion. The manga is weirder that the show by far. I like angry Shinji as well.

The Zelda manga are pretty funny.

Gundam Lost War Chronicles are good.

Sai Kano

Comics... Static and SpiderMan are still my favorite heroes.


If you want an interesting read I'd check out a book series called A Song of Ice and Fire. They're huge books, but they're good.
