Can Starship Mario travel between worlds?

I just got a pre-owned Mario Galaxy 2 that didn't come with a manual. Can you go back to previous worlds?

Yep, of course ya can. If memory serves correctly, all you need to do is use the control stick on the galaxy select screen to go back. Simple, yeah? :lol:
