Voice Over Internet Protocol, just basically voice chatting over the internet. Wi-Fi isn't gonna be available until early 2007 either.

Yes, and no games are out that have online multiplayer, but the wii is has functioning WiFi.

The wii has wifi. Wifi is what allows your wii to connect to a wireless access point.

There are just currently no games with online multiplayer to allow you to play against people over the net.
