i0n runs the place, but I was sure he ceased care for it some time last year. I'm guessing it along with PS3 Chat got hit by the HDD failure as well.

Yeah, I have a feeling he's started to work on those sites now. It should be back soon enough.

Nope. I'm quite sure that they're on different servers. PS3Chat didn't seem to have any problems, and 360Chat just has a problem with the backups seemingly hanging. (or perhaps it is finishing and it's a mutex issue, or something similar?) I mentioned that it was down on Twitter when WiiChat was being fixed, and he temporarily fixed it. Unfortunately, that didn't last long. :/
