Gamecube memory cards and wii

I inserted my gamecube memory cards into my wii and the wii deffinetly reads them, but whenever I want to save madden 07 or zelda (for the wii) on my wii it wont let me save it on my gamecube memory cards and will only let me save it to the wiis built in memory. Could somebody help? Thanks!

Why oh why do you think Nintendo would do such a horrible thing?

Oh, because it has to still work in a GameCube. I'm pretty sure it says that in the manual, and on their website. GameCube memory cards are for GameCube save data, nothing more.

oh, and how much memory does the wii have built in( I am not so great with tech terms so if you know the answer could you make it simpler, if possible Thanks!)
