green boxes

hey can some 1 tell me what the green boxes under some ones name represents and hoiw come some ppl have alot and some ppl have 1and some ppl have glowy ones.

It's reputation. People give rep by clicking the green mushroom. More rep the more bars, yada yada yada. That's the basics really.

The green boxes represent a users reputation level. When a user makes a post that you find to be helpful, you may add reputation. If the user makes an offensive or off-topic post, you may report that user.

i clicked on my green mushroom and it says i have 5 reputation points but i only have 1 green box hmmm is mine broke?

1 box does not represent 1 reputation point. I am not sure exactly how many points you get per "Green box".
