VGChartz reports that the Japanese hardware / software Chart for week ending February 10th, 2008 was as follows:

Now it seems these guys are getting bored with the "hardcore" games that most HD owners love. Lots of people say thats it's the casual thing but really these guys are getting super picky and bored.

I know right. I hate to say it but some things are looking fadish and it's not the Wii. if it was not for HD graphics the other guys really would be dead in the water over there.

Nope, cuz Xbox doesn't have many japanese games at all.

The 360 is doing pretty bad in sales here too. The price drop for the 360 didn't include the hard drive. The other is most console gamers don't buy a console for online gaming. Each year that percentage will go down 5-10%. However right now I think it's at 70% stay offline? The PS2 crowd is still on the PS2, this will be the year they move to the next gen consoles (not all of them, but a good chunk). If Microsoft wants that crowd, they need to include the hard drive, XBL and price drop into one package or watch Sony do nothing but catch up this year.

If MS wants that crowd then they need to make more gods or war and RPGs and arcade action games and less simulation games and FPS. Go to your local game stop and just look at the games you can buy there and realize the PS2 still has tons of games you haven't played yet. Most of these games are not even close to coming out on the 360. Realize that the Wii is blamed for killing the arcade. When was the last time you saw a game as slow as gears of war in the arcade? MS just doesn't understand the word arcade game because they never had the guts to try and making it in the arcade world. Thats the place where you truly learn how to addict a player and make them keep feeding money into a machine. Nintendo is doing this right now with a home console. MS can do this but the current batch of hardcore players don't really like arcade like games now do they. Case and point MS is a mis-match for that market and most PS2 gamers.

Xbox has sold 17.7 million consoles, XBL has 10 million subscribers, thats more than 50% of the Xbox owners online...

Also the 360 had bad sales in US these recent months because the demand was alot higher than the supply so their was a console shortage. Just like the Wii, but I don't think it was as bad. Hell where I live I can't find a Xbox 360 anywhere.

Really Well why no web stories about it? And why does the Wii still out sale it in the US or are you located some where else. the xbox has been stck at 16 million for a while. And where did you get 17 million from? Oh well what ever I posted the japan numbers because most of my games will be made over there unless some things change.

WOW thanks T3kNi9e I did not know the PS3 out sold the xbox 360...LOL Hilarious stuff there in the mist of COD4 too WOW. What is sad is this is maybe for a HDDVD device. Many people got a HD tv this holiday season and most bad sets make dvds look like trash.

Supply constraint my ass...LOL The last time I heard about some thing like that the Wii was out selling every one. If that is the case then this may be caused by the fact that MS is trying to really fix the RROD problem.
