Hello wiichat community I'm new to the forums and my first post comes with a question. I don't get to play my wii a lot because of work, so is it essential that i buy an SD card for extra memory? I don't have a lot of games either if that helps.

No, it's not necessary if you don't do a lot of gaming. It's only necessary if you download a LOT of games from the Wii Shop Channel but from the sounds of it, you don't do a lot of gaming. Save your money.
