You can find out by going in the wi-fi options in the game and it tells you

no friend codes for the ds are 12 digits long and the wii numbers are 16 digits...

click the message board icon from the main menu and then click on the "Create Message" icon, click on the "Address Book" then press the "-" button on the wii remote...it should show your console number on the screen
