Making an Advertisement with Photoshop

Anybody have any ideas for me? Its for school. Like what effects can I add. would a sunburst be appropriate?

For the iPod Advertisement, your easiest direction would be to mimic the silhouette theme that other existing iPod commercials have. Since it's a project, though, you should find some way to personalize it.

People have brought up Lens Flare, Reflection, Text Wraps...visual effects like these can bring your own look to the existing iPod Ad style.
