Nintendo mentioned this stuff earlier this year. They even mentioned motorcycles. By this point it doesn't matter what they say, I'm buying this game. It would be hilarious if they added in Solid Snake, or Speed Racer.

Okay, I don't know what snaking means then :p
Sorry for responding a little late. Anyway, here's what we mean by 'snaking' in Mario Kart:

]So what is snaking? Snaking is a form of powersliding, which gained its name from being somewhat similar to 'snaking' in F-Zero GX. In GX, smart gamers can exploit a glitch in the game (which is fair game as far as I'm concerned), and, with a good deal of skill, can move a car in a weaving pattern on straightaways that tricks the game into thinking the car is making a turn, which gives the vehicle a needed boost of speed to beat some of the insanely difficult challenges in the game.
Hope that description helps.

Game looks good, and I read that in the last Nintendo Power and was happy with the details for the most part.

Is it slated for a spring release now or what?

Looks good. Hoping that the inclusion of stunts/motorbikes/whatever else that might be in there doesn't detract from what makes Mario Kart fun in the first place. Not saying they are good or bad, but rather they weren't needed at all. I'm hoping (judging by their track record, they probably will) that they've gotten it right and that it makes the game a lot more fun.
