Im tired of this rap crap.
I need some METAL. Now Im out on a limb here hoping wiichat has some metal fans, but what the hell.

Post your fav. bands/songs.
I wanna see some new music!

To start off, well go classic:
one of my favs, Metallica.

Fav. song: ...and justice for all.

Other good new age metal:
-chiodios
-As I Lay Dying
-Ice nine kills
-Iwrestledabearonce
-Dethklok
-And many others...
voice you favRIOTs.

-Pantera (goes without saying really)
-Machinehead
-Fear Factory
-Coal Chamber (a few songs off the first album, haven't really kept up with them)
-Spineshank
-Overkill (oldschool, but still going, and still oldschool, but even in the 80's they had a very distinctive sound, not like the rest of the 80's power metal out there)
-Corrosion of Conformity (more heavy rock than metal)
-Mudvayne
-Sepultura
-Static-X
-Hellyeah
-Clutch (though I don't really consider them metal, they are usually classified as such for some strange reason, but they are definitely an awesome band, and one of the best lyricists I've ever heard)
-I Mother Earth (not really metal either, but a damn good group of musicians)
-Soundgarden (another not really metal, but damn good stuff)

I'm sure there's more I could list, but that's off the top of my head for now.

Needs more Dio

Behold a singer you can carry round in your poket

Ozzy & Dio are always good.
Pantara, Mudvayne, Overkill, Im familiar with. In going to lool up static-x.

My hopes are high for good music.

Pfft
Dio>Ozzy

Dio tours with the classic Sabbath line up where as Ozzy sits on his arse trying to get things to work

Least we for get
SAXON
The bard of Barnsley is legendary (mainly for going on Harvey Goldsmith's Get Your Act Together. and telling him to piss off when he tryed to change them)
Cant wait till there next tour with Motorhead

Tis' very hard.

Static X is commonly referred to as industrial metal, or often incorrectly shoehorned into the nu-metal category. Wayne Static likes to call it "evil disco". If you want a more metal version of Static-X, look for stuff off the album Cannibal, there's less industrial type sampling and looping on that album, it's very heavy and very metal.

If you like Pantera and Mudvayne, then you will definitely like Hellyeah. That's Vinnie Paul, Chad Gray and Greg Tribbett (singer and guitarist from Mudvayne respectively), Tom Maxwell (guitarist from Nothingface), and Bob Zilla (bassist from Damageplan).

Spineshank is also a good no-nonsense metal group.

Another I thought of is Grip Inc. That's Dave Lombardo from Slayer on drums.

Oh, and Slayer.

So...
hellya is like a cross band, no? Referring to having members from other bands. And with a pantara sound, with slayer influence, its bound to be brutal.

Static-x...
I could see the 'evil disco' a bit. The Nu metal genre is a bit shaky, on musicianship. sometimes borders on a 2 year old playing guitar, shaky.

Ac Dc is almost worse, ticketwise as metallica.
Hope you see em soon. I hear they put on a good show.

Heh, people actually listen to Dethklok as a serious metal band?

Yuh,
Dethklok is a liable band.
There more epic metal, but nathan's a genuis song writer.
The chordal progession is unique with its minor & major partials.

Its true craft, and its hard to write epic metal.

Only metal I'm really into is the likes of Ozzy Osbourne. I've grown up listening to Ozzy, Led Zeppelin etc etc.

I think one of my favourites, though, is a cover of 'Stayin' alive', by Frank Zappa and Ozzy Osbourne.

Aahahahahahhaha.
...That was a joke, right?
